02 · Built for here

Plans that start from where you'll build.

A plan drawn for a mild climate and shipped north leaves your builder doing the hard thinking. Ours begin with Minnesota conditions.

Cold-climate thinking

The Birchwood 2110 is designed for Climate Zone 6, which covers southern and central Minnesota. Building up north in Zone 7? Tell us, because insulation details change.

Below the frost line

Minnesota sets minimum footing depths by region, and your building official confirms what applies to your lot. Tell us where you're building and we'll flag what may change.

Snow on the roof

Your truss supplier engineers the roof trusses for your site's snow load. The plan set shows the layout they work from.

Basements worth having

Footings already go deep here, so a full basement is a natural fit. The Birchwood 2110 includes one.

03 · Straight talk

A plan set starts your permit. It doesn't finish it.

No one can honestly promise that a set of house plans will pass every building department as-is. Here's what you get from us, and what your local team takes care of.

How it all fits together

04 · How it works

From first look to building permit.

  1. Pick a starting point

Start with the Birchwood 2110, or tell us about the ADU or barndominium you have in mind.

  2. Request pricing

Tell us where you're building. Location changes details like climate zone, frost depth and local rules.

  3. Customize, if you want

Ask for changes before you commit. We'll tell you what's practical and quote it first.

  4. Build with your local team

Take the set to your builder, truss supplier, an engineer if needed, and your building official.
